Maria-Aggeliki Stamouli, holds a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. in Health Informatics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and B.Sc. in Statistics and Insurance Science from University of Piraeus.

Since 2021 she works as a Laboratory Teaching Staff in the Business Administration Department of the University of West Attika, where she teaches the subjects of “Health Demography” and “Data Statistical Analysis: within the framework of the course” Social Research Methodology”. She also teaches in the M.Sc. programme of “Health and Social Care Management” the subject of “Analysis of Quantitative research data using SPSS” in the context of the course “Field Research: Methodological Techniques for the Development of Social Research”.

She has worked as a research associate at the TEI of Athens in the Departments of: Unit of Health and Social Welfare, Public Health, and Optics and Optometry, where she taught Statistics, Statistical Information Processing, Informatics, and Health Information Systems.

She is a Research Associate at the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government where she teaches courses such as: “Statistical Data Analysis and Decision Making in Public Administration”, “Statistical Research Methodology and Decision Making” and “Data Management and Statistical Processing” (using the program SPSS or the Minitab or Excel). She is also an instructor at the Civil Servants’ Training Institute (INEP) on subjects related to «Statistical Data Processing (Minitab/Excel)” and “Office Automation (MS-Word, MS-Excel, etc.)”.

She has worked as a scientific expert for the Cyprus University of Technology at the School of Health Sciences in the “Nursing and Mental Health Nursing top-up Program”, for teaching the course of Technology and Health Informatics.

She has an extensive research background in statistical analysis of Health Data using statistical software such as SPSS, Minitab etc. Also she has numerous publications, active participations in international and national conferences, books (“SPSS exercises in Health”, “Exercises in Computational Statistics in Health, Volume I and II”, Papazisis ed.) and participations in collective volumes.

Between 2020 and 2021 she worked as a Research Administrative Statistician for the Quality Assurance Unit of the University of West Attika, between 2009 and 2020 she worked as a Statistician for Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), where alongside her duties, she was representing ELSTAT as a National Expert in working groups organized by Eurostat (the official statistical office of the EU) and between 1997 and 2009, she worked as a Statistician for “Labor Inspectorate” and for “Sotiria-Thoracic Diseases Hospital of Athens”.
