Structure of the Study Programme

In order to obtain the postgraduate diploma, successful attendance of the MSc courses is required. The content and duration of the courses are determined each academic year by the Steering Committee.

The MSc is organised on the basis of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Courses are described by the allocation of credits to all individual educational components and their activities, and therefore it is possible to transfer and accumulate credits towards corresponding postgraduate programmes of other Higher Educational Institutes at national and European level. It is also possible to transfer and accumulate credits of successful performance towards this MSc, up to 25 % of the total number of credits required to obtain the postgraduate diploma, from other equivalent postgraduate programmes at national and European level.

The courses are structured according to the following curriculum per topic and semester of study, as follows.

First Semester

Topic: Social Management – Economics – Health and Social Care Management

Postgraduate students write an MA dissertation on a topic related to the administration and management of health and social care services. The way of choosing dissertation topics, the guidelines for dissertation preparation and the procedure for submission of research protocols are described in a separate form which is distributed to students at the beginning of the academic year.

Postgraduate students are also expected to attend lectures by renowned Greek and foreign scientists during the third semester.
