Dr. Sotirios Soulis is a former Professor in the sector of Social Policy (Business Administration Department) and an ex Director of M.Sc. “Management of Health and Social Care Services” of West Attica University. He holds a PhD in Health and Social Protection Economics (1982) from University of Dijon, France.

He also is an ex vice Rector and expert of OECD. He has represented the country in International Organizations such as: OECD, EU, International Labor Office (ILO) and International Social Security Association (ISSA). He has worked as a Scientific Advisor at Ministry of Labor (OAED) in Social Security, Demographic and Family Policy and at Ministry of Health in Greece.

During his academic career, he has undertaken significant research (over 60 research projects) with national and international bodies in subjects such as: Occupational Health and Safety, Demography, Inequalities, Economics and Health Policies, Unemployment, Family Policy, Migration, Economic-Technical Studies of Operational Hospital Systems, Process Modeling, Quality of Life, Distance Education, Cost of Medical Acts, Social Economy and Entrepreneurship, e-Health and Social Care Networks. During the last 25 years he has been active in the field of authored and he is the scientific director of the publishing series “Social Sciences and Health” (Papazisis Publications)”.
