Mrs Gkioka has 2 Masters Degrees at Health Care Management and Clinical Trials and a PhD in Biovigilance, Crisis Management and Clinical Governance for the Quality and Safety of Medical Product of Human Origin. She is the Saint Savvas’ Quality Manager. Additionally, she is the Quality Manager of newly founded Saint Savvas’s Biobank and she is supervising the Health Service Recipient Protection Office of the Hospital. Her background and specialty concerns the Biovigilance System and Clinical Governance for the quality and safety of Medical Products of Human Origin and her expertise is on tissues and cells transplantation.
She is also Grant Academic Fellow at Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and she also Scientific Associate of Health Economics, Health Management, Health and Social Protection Policy Lab at the University of West Attica. Additionally, she is Technical Advisor at the Hellenic Transplant Organization and Inspector at World Marrow Donor Association and Qualified Inspector for ISO 9001 and EN 15224.
She has had more than 20 years of experience in public health care sector, and she has been making systematic consulting since 2015 at the subject which concern patients with chronic diseases (malignancies, autoimmune, diabetes etc).
Mrs Gkioka Vasiliki was for 2 years Quality Supervisor at Biomedical Science and Technologies S.A of Biomedical Research Foundation Academy of Athens, she spent 17 years at Hellenic Transplant Organization and the last 5 years as head of European Affairs and she trained at National Cord Blood Bank NHS in London Colindale in 2002 and she was a founding member of Hellenic Cord Blood Bank of Biomedical Research Foundation Academy of Athens.
