Dr. Georgios Diellas serves (2008 -) as a Specialist Scientist at the Supreme Personnel Selection Council (ASEP) with a subject of “Public Administration”. From 2021 serves as Counselor (Member of ASEP). He teaches at the Hellenic Open University (EAP), Undergraduate Program of Studies “Public Administration” (School of Social Sciences), at the University of Western Attica, Postgraduate Program of Studies “Administration and Management of Health and Social Care Services” (Department of Business Administration) at the National School of Public Administration (Member of the Main Teaching Staff), on the subject of the Organization and Operation of the Public Administration.
He taught as a visiting Professor in Postgraduate Studies Programs of the Department of Public Administration, “Panteion” University of Social and Political Sciences.
He was a Special Scientific Adviser at the Ministries: Health and Welfare (2000-2004), Development (2004-2005), Labor and Social Security (2010-2012), and Deputy Consumer Ombudsman (2005-2008). He also served as Vice President of the NDS. National Center for Social Solidarity (2013-2015) and President of the Foundation “Pammakaristos” (2009-2011).
During the period 2001-2004 he was a member of the European Commission’s Committee on Disability and a corresponding Committee of the Council of Ministers for Social Affairs of the Council of Europe and a member of the Project Management Team of the Ministry of Health and Welfare for the organization of the Greek Presidency in the EU in 2003.
He has been a member of many Legislative Committees in almost all areas of Public Administration and member of Codification Committees of Legislation. He also served as Scientific Associate of the Center for European Constitutional Law in the elaboration of studies and international actions.
He has participated in the writing of collective volumes, has published a series of articles in scientific journals (after a crisis) and has made announcements at scientific conferences (after a crisis).
He is a member of the following scientific bodies and associations: the Hellenic Institute of Administrative Sciences, the American Association of Public Administration (ASPA), the Hellenic Society for Political Science and President of the Institute for Humanity Studies.
